Sun and sea in Surfers Paradise

Last night was so hot. I managed to get to sleep no trouble but once I woke up at 6am I couldn't get back to sleep. I was so sweaty and hot that I had to get up and stand in front of the fan. Then I realised I was standing at the end of someone's bed and it looked kind of creepy so I sat down on my bed in a way I could still feel the fan. Rojer didn't stay last night. He booked into a hotel because he though the room was too hot.

At half 9 I woke Lauren up so we could go to beach. On the way we stopped at a travel agents to ask about New Zealand. We got a bus pass for half price, $500 instead of $1000 which is extortionate. We looked at some of the tours we could do as well and told the dude we'd think about it.

The beach was packed. The sand was too hot to walk on and the sun was burning hot. We found a spot, covered ourselves in suncream and sunbathed for a while before going about waist deep into the sea. There was a lot more seaweed than at Bondi and we were wary of jellyfish after the girl in our room said she saw them and because of the signs telling us to watch out.  The majority of people in the water weren't swimming though,  they were just standing.

We left around half 3 to pick up some stuff from the travel agents and headed back to the hostel via the shop for cold drinks. We both managed to get sunburnt again today. I have no idea how as we both put so much suncream on.

We showered and got ready and went on the free computers to sort some stuff out for New Zealand. We made good use of the free washing again with the stuff from the beach.

After that was done we went out for dinner, the first thing we'd eaten today. We came back and Skyped our parents and chatted to the guy next to us about New Zealand.

Tomorrow we get the bus just after 9:15 to Brisbane. The girl in our room kindly told us there was spiders in basically every corner or every room 😭🕷.
