Motorbikes and Sleeping Buses

Today we woke up at around 8am, packed our stuff and went down for breakfast. We both had chocolate pancakes which were nice but cold. Then we went on a chauffeured motorbike tour. We basically hopped on the back of a bike and were driven to three different places. One was called Mua Cave. The other two were like temples on the hillside. One was deserted. None of the places were that amazing but the temples were nicely decorated. At one place I slipped over on the wet floor and landed very hard on my bum, hitting my back. I think I have a bruised bum. It was very painful.

The motor bike riding was very fun. One of the drivers was the husband of the lady who owns the hotel. I was on the back of his bike and Lauren was on the back of another dudes. It was about 3 hours in total the tour.

After the tour we went back to the hotel and just hung out, looking at our plans for the rest of Vietnam. We popped to the shop for some snacks around lunch time and then around 5pm we went for dinner. We went to another hostel that had a restaurant underneath. Lauren had grilled beef and chips and I had deep fried pork and noodles.  I liked both dishes, Lauren didn't like hers much. The chips were different to English chips but still nice. We then hung out there until we had to get the bus.

We went to get the bus which we expected to turn up at half 8. It had terrible reviews on TripAdvisor so we were very apprehensive but decided to give it a go as it was logistically and financially a lot easier than the train. We just bought a ticket to the next town instead of one to all the stops, which you could do. The fact it didn't turn up until half 9 did not fill us with hope. The sleeping bus is a coach that has no seats and instead has three rows of reclined (but not flat) bunks on two levels. They were quite thin and there wasn't really anywhere to put our 'hand luggage' which made getting comfortable awkward but we were provided with blankets and the bus has WiFi.  We stopped after about 2 minutes for 15 minutes and then off we went. It's 2am and we're due in at 4am. We've had no trouble so far. Lauren's fast asleep (I think) and I've managed to have a bit of nap. We've got two more hours to go but things are looking ok!!
