Arriving in Krabi

This morning we got up at 9am, packed up our stuff and trekked down to the pier to catch a ferry. The pier seems a lot further when you're carrying a huge rucksack on your back in 30° heat.

We got onto the half 10 boat to Krabi and off we went. I have really enjoyed Phi Phi. It's so beautiful. But we have so much to look forward to so I wasn't too sad.  The boat took around 2 hours and when we arrived we got a mini bus that dropped us right outside our hostel.

We checked in and made ourselves at home before going for a wander. There isn't actually much in Krabi but we are using it as a base to explore the surrounding areas and islands. We looked at some tours and researched some tour companies. None looked that great but that's for another day. We had a drink at a cafe and then went and checked out the night market.

The night market is only at the weekends and it was very busy. It wasn't very big bit there were quite a few food stalls that all looked very tempting. Unfortunately I had a stomach ache so didn't get any food.  Maybe next weekend... Lauren got some chicken and a corn on the cob and we sat on a kerb while she ate. I got pooed on by a bird while we were sitting which was nice. Maybe I'm in store for some good luck....

After nesting we returned to the hostel. We chilled in the room for about an hour by which point my stomach ache was gone so I went and got two free chicken skewers from the hostel bbq. Then I skyped with mum before going to bed.
